DisProt 2023_06 - New thematic dataset of Intrinsically Disordered Proteins related to Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs)
DisProt curation team is proud to announce the new thematic dataset, “NDDs-related proteins”, with the important aim to define the role and abundance of intrinsically disordered proteins in Neurodevelopmental diseases.
The DisProt curation team is pleased to release a new thematic dataset portraying “Neglected tropical diseases proteins”, describing the presence and role of IDPs and IDRs in pathogens causative of these diseases.
The “Biocuration in DisProt” page (https://disprot.org/biocuration) has been updated with the addition of two new features: i) an eLearning course on literature curation of IDPs for DisProt biocurators and ii) a submission form for DisProt external users to contribute new annotations.
New training materials are available for DisProt users: a protocol - available in Current Protocols in Bioinformatics - describing how to explore manually curated annotations of intrinsically disordered proteins with DisProt, and two webinars - available in TeSS, the ELIXIR Training Portal - describing how...
DisProt 2022_06 - Release featuring the “autophagy-related proteins” and “cancer-related proteins” datasets
This release of DisProt features two new thematic datasets, “autophagy-related proteins” and “cancer-related proteins”, exploring the role played by intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) and proteins (IDPs) in two main biological areas - autophagy and cancer.
The DisProt curation team is pleased to publish a new release featuring the third thematic DisProt dataset, “viral proteins”, exploring the role of IDPs and IDRs in the context of viral proteins.
We are proud to announce that DisProt is now a partner of the GO consortium.
DisProt adopted two dedicated and stable ontologies - the Gene Ontology and the Evidence and Conclusion Ontology - to improve the representation of interactions, disorder functions and describe the experimental methods used to assess disorder.
We have simplified the DisProt interface and improved its loading speed for a better user experience
DisProt 2021_06 - Thematic release featuring a dataset of “extracellular matrix proteins”, and several revised and new entries
The DisProt curation team is pleased to report a new release featuring the second thematic DisProt dataset: “extracellular matrix proteins”, describing the role of IDPs in this network within the tissues. At the same time, we have continued the process of reviewing and updating entries...
DisProt 2020_12 - first thematic release featuring a dataset of "unicellular toxins and antitoxins", revised and new entries
The DisProt curation team is proud to announce a new in-between-publication release featuring the first thematic DisProt dataset: "unicellular toxins and antitoxins", consisting of 23 new entries and 25 already existing entries that have been fully reannotated and updated. This is the first thematic release...
The DisProt curation team is excited to announce the new release featuring newly added proteins related to SARS-CoV-2 as a response to the global pandemic, as well as revised and updated home page examples and previously published entries in an effort to continuously improve curation...
