DisProt 2021_08 - Integration of ECO and GO ontologies
DisProt adopted two dedicated and stable ontologies - the Gene Ontology and the Evidence and Conclusion Ontology - to improve the representation of interactions, disorder functions and describe the experimental methods used to assess disorder.
Written on Sep 10, 2021, by Edoardo Salladini, AndrĂ¡s Hatos and Federica Quaglia.DisProt is now using two specific ontologies to improve the interoperability and the consistency of our manually curated annotations. We adopted the Gene Ontology (GO) to annotate functions and interactions, and the Evidence and Conclusion Ontology (ECO) to annotate the techniques used to assess the disorder. We invite you to explore our About page to get familiar with the ontologies in DisProt.
